Agustín Apesteguía

Angels Team Leader Argentina, Uruguay & Paraguay

Agustin was born in Gualeguaychú, Entre Ríos, and studied medicine at Universidad Nacional de Rosario, graduating in 2005. He specialised in Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine at the University of Buenos Aires and was a lecturer in Semiology and Internal Medicine at the Hospital de Clinicas de Buenos Aires.

He obtained a master’s degree in health economics and management from ISALUD, completing its international module in Washington in the US.

His work experience includes becoming medical director of a private sanatorium in the Ciudad Autonoma de Buenos Aires in 2013, and assuming the role of medical director of a Pre-hospital Emergency Company in 2016.

Agustin learned about the Angels Initiative in 2020/21 when he was invited to speak at its events. When the opportunity arose to join the organisation, he didn’t hesitate for a second, knowing the importance and responsibility it requires, but understanding the positive impact it has on society at large, both in the short and long term.
